Naracoorte Entrance Upgrade

Consultation has concluded.

Background

Council has adopted a landscape plan to upgrade the southern entrance to Naracoorte on the Riddoch Highway.

This is a key entry point to Naracoorte, and our plan is to create an inviting and attractive statement that will be implemented in stages.

Stage one will commence in late April 2020, with new Oak trees being planted following the general alignment of the Riddoch Highway and extending the existing row of Oak trees. The new trees will be planted following the first significant Autumn rainfall. Once complete, the avenue of trees will create a significant sense of arrival to Naracoorte.

This project has a $25,000 budget to plant 28 new trees and remove 25 dead and declining trees.

This will complement ongoing improvements to signage and entrances as part of our Wayfinding Project Plan.
