History of the Naracoorte Town Centre Rejuvenation Plan
Council engaged Holmes Dyer in 2020 to provide a 10-year plan for the rejuvenation of the Naracoorte Town Centre. Community engagement activities undertaken to formulate the Plan included surveys, workshops, forums, interviews, a consultation hub, site visits and a working group. The Plan was launched in 2021.
In January 2023, shortly after the Council elections, a Council Briefing Session was held for the Elected Members to give them an opportunity to review the Plan and provide direction on further progress. Council is supportive of the overall intent of the Plan and many projects listed within and now it has identified some new opportunities to improve the Plan. These include undertaking further consultation with the community, in particular the Town Centre business sector and key stakeholders, to capture their thoughts on the Plan.
