Draft Asset Management Plans and Long Term Financial Plan 2026-2036

Naracoorte Lucindale Council is seeking community feedback on its Draft Asset Management Plans and Long Term Financial Plan 2026-2036. These plans are key documents within Council's strategic planning framework.

The Draft Asset Management Plans assist Council to look after its assets in a cost-effective way at service levels which are understood and agreed to by the community. They outline financial and technical elements including replacement cycles and funding requirements.

There are 10 Asset Management Plans. These cover:


  1. Buildings and Structures
  2. Lucindale Community Waste Management Scheme (CWMS)
  3. Naracoorte Aerodrome and Lucindale Airstrip
  4. Naracoorte Regional Livestock Exchange (NRLE)
  5. Naracoorte Swimming Lake
  6. Naracoorte and Lucindale Waste Transfer Station
  7. Open Space
  8. Plant, Machinery and Vehicles
  9. Road and Stormwater Infrastructure
  10. Technology, Communication and Furniture

The Draft Long Term Financial Plan looks at the next 10 years and sets targets for Council’s budget to achieve in terms of future expenditure and debt levels to ensure financial sustainability is maintained. It also sets out the major projects that Council intends to undertake over the next decade.

Public consultation on the Draft Asset Management Plans and Long Term Financial Plan will open at 9am on Wednesday 24 September 2025 and close at 5pm on Friday 17 October 2025.

You can view the Draft Plans online in the Documents section on this page or you can collect hard copies from Council's Naracoorte or Lucindale offices or the Naracoorte Library.

Feedback can be provided:
