The Naracoorte Lucindale Council is seeking community input into the development of its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.
Council’s objective is to work with the community to develop a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan that meets the needs of people living with disability and the wider community.
The Plan will assist Council and the community in seeking funding and prioritising projects to improve disability access and inclusion in the Council area. Your input is vital to the success of this plan, and Council invites you to have your say.
Council is committed to providing accessible and inclusive services, facilities and events. One tool that will assist Council to plan for and provide equitable service and access is the development of a Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP).
The Plan will
set out the measures that Council intends to put in place to ensure that people with disability can access the mainstream supports and services provided by or on behalf of Council
include strategies to support people with disability in the following areas:
access to Council’s built environs, events and facilities
access to Council information and communications
addressing the specific needs of people with disability in Council’s programs and services
employment at Council
Consultation Closes: 9 am Monday 15 July 2019.
